Marie Adam Leenaerdt's spring/summer collection features a strong return to minimalism and a focus on the silhouette through long, imposing coats, clean lines and a palette of pure grays.

Long and Imposing Coats

The collection's long, ankle-length coats are designed to create a bold and striking silhouette. With their strong build, they create a play of volume that broadens the shoulders, imposing an unparalleled presence. This year, details are intentionally absent. No buttons or pockets disrupt the harmonious cut. This minimalist choice draws all the attention to the piece's imposing stature, highlighting the silhouette with subtle power. The dominant color, gray, comes in several tones that allow for the creation of monochrome looks that reinforce the depth of each ensemble.

The Blazer Reinvented

Coats aren't the only thing getting a makeover. The shorter version of one of the key pieces becomes a chic blazer, ideal for a bold and refined look. Complemented by a short skirt, this minimalist duo draws all the attention to the blazer's structure, as seen in looks 6 and 7, where the architecture of the cut takes center stage in the garment's composition.

A Game of Hangers and Silhouettes

Look 8 features a gray coat that gently cinches the waist, while highlighting a plunging collar that adds a touch of sensuality while remaining understated. For those who prefer more structured pieces, the gray wool dress in look 9 is a must-have from the collection. Minimalist to the extreme, it stands out with its exposed seams, which, in the absence of decorative details, create a fascinating texture.

Look 10, with its off-the-shoulder dress and cinched waist, emphasizes the importance of the feminine silhouette, while emphasizing the hips in a combination of strength and delicacy.

Transparency in the Spotlight

Another key element of the collection is the return of transparency, as demonstrated in look 12: a subtly designed sheer top, revealing the bust, paired with a long, trapeze-line skirt in gray wool. Minimal details, yet grand volumes and silhouette. Transparency is integrated into modern pieces, daring to reveal without revealing too much.

The Revisited Trapeze Dress

Marie Adam Leenaerdt also offers an innovative take on the classic trapeze garment. By playing with the inverted cut in looks 13, 14, and 37, the designer successfully redefines this shape by adapting it to the contemporary silhouette, while maintaining the freedom and fluidity characteristic of the traditional trapeze cut.

Flowing Fabrics and Relaxed Silhouettes

The contrast is felt in looks 16, 17, and 21, where more fluid materials add a touch of lightness. The monochrome dresses in these looks create a relaxed silhouette, while also allowing for play with fluid textures that contrast pleasantly with the wool layers present in other pieces.

The Return of Officewear

If we thought that officewear was a thing of the past, Marie Adam Leenaerdt proves us wrong with looks 28, 29, 30 and 31. The blazer is reinterpreted here with modern, fitted cuts, while maintaining a certain rigor that makes the garment a must-have for professional wardrobes while remaining resolutely chic.
