Baum und Pferdgarten charges into Spring Summer 2026 with Notes from the Grandstand, a collection that gallops between boldness and elegance, all while mastering the art of contrast. Inspired by the world of the Derby, the collection draws its energy from the vibrant uniforms of jockeys, the fluid motion of the racetrack, and the impeccable glamour of guests who came to be noticed. Here, sport meets high society in a playful yet sophisticated dialogue.

A Playful Study of Contrast
Under the creative direction of Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, the collection skillfully blends visual codes from both worlds. The sharp color-blocking and functional silhouettes of jockeys, bold and immediately recognizable, collide with the sophisticated attire of guests who meant to turn heads from every angle.
This tension between performance and pageantry provides a rich canvas to explore character, contrast, and everything in between.
Key Looks and Signature Pieces
Striped nylon unmistakably nods to jockey uniforms, while checks and bold color contrasts create a sense of constant movement. Frilled details on sporty outerwear introduce a delicate feminine tension, subtly referencing classic equestrian wear.
Dropped-waist dresses and softly draped blouses bring graceful fluidity, while powder pink hues and faux suede accessories add a touch of composed drama.
Small details such as horse rosettes and vintage lace pay homage to tradition, while leopard prints and faux leather inject a modern, cheeky edge. Baum und Pferdgarten shows us that dressing up is never incidental, and that style can be a performance in itself, whether from the saddle or a seat in the grandstand.
Thoughtful Scenography
Presented for the first time on August 6, 2025, during Copenhagen Fashion Week at Charlottenlund Travbane, the show took place in historic surroundings between old horse stables. This location highlighted the equestrian spirit central to the collection. Still active today, Charlottenlund racetrack is the oldest in the Nordics, a place full of history and memory, making it the perfect backdrop for this season’s narrative.

A Lifelong Bond with Horses
For Helle Hestehave and Rikke Baumgarten, horses have always been close to home and heart. Before the runway, there was the riding arena. Growing up around horses, this early bond continues to shape their creative world. Notes from the Grandstand draws from shared memories of racetracks, riding lessons, and long days spent in stables, adding authenticity to every seam and silhouette.
Conclusion: Where Elegance Meets Playfulness
Notes from the Grandstand masterfully combines athletic functionality with theatrical glamour, balancing elegance and mischief with precision.

Baum und Pferdgarten reminds us that an outfit can be both practical and show-stopping, and that sometimes, a well-placed leopard print is all it takes to steal the spotlight. In short, if you thought equestrian fashion belonged only on the racetrack, the Danish house proves that style can gallop anywhere—even in the grandstands.
